RN Supervisor: Oakwood Village
The PM Supervisor is accountable for: the leadership on the PM shift; assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care and for communicating resident issues with Nurse Manager The PM Supervisor collaborates with interdisciplinary staff and physician consultation on issues related to resident care and the quality of life for all residents.
Other responsibilities include: monitoring compliance with HFS 132 regulations and Federal tags; follow-up on changes in condition; documentations; incidents/accidents, and risk for infection, falls and confusion; development of staff; continuing education for staff; support for families and interviewing and selection of personnel, identification of systems problems and discussion with team. ESSENTIAL
Clinical Resident Care 1. Perform or delegate preadmission admission assessments. Assures that new residents and family are greeted and welcomed. 2. Ensure assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care which results in quality outcomes. 3. Follow-up on doctors' calls and/or doctors' orders. 4. Up-date and follow through on items noted on supervisors report sheet. 5. Follow-up on resident problems: communicate problem follow-up on changes in condition verbally and with documentation, to others on 24-hour report. Modifies nursing care plan as appropriate. 6. Collaborate with nursing team, medical consultants, and other team members to ensure resident and family needs are met. 7. Demonstrate clinical competence through hands-on resident care, and consultant work to staff throughout the nursing home. 8. Monitor PM nursing care to ensure policy defined care, HFS 132 standards and Federal tags are met. 9. Demonstrate effective time management in the flow of unit work. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Knowledge of HFS 132 regulations and Federal tags. 2. Knowledge of Medicare A requirements. 3. Ability to provide leadership that fosters a team approach in meeting the mission of Oakwood. 4. Independent initiation based on sound judgment. 5. Flexible with hours in order to carry out the job responsibilities.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING 1. Registered nurse. 2. Licensed in the State of Wisconsin . 3. Three years of relevant nursing experience preferred. 4. CPR certified. 5. Knowledgeable in a specialty area of geriatric care preferred.
