Provides independent, professional and objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve operations. - Leads risk based operational, financial and compliance internal audits necessary to promote the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information.
- Evaluates compliance with internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations.
- Analyzes the system of internal controls.
- Assists in the performance of Sarbanes-Oxley testing.
- Supports internal clients with analysis support.
- Acts as a liaison for other departments.
- Researches questions and responds in a prompt, professional manner.
- May assist in the coordination of external audits.
- May facilitate in development of process flow efficiencies.
- May write specs, conduct system testing, or make recommendations for programming changes or enhancements.
- Completes projects with guidance and direction from management
- Other duties as assigned.
Auditor I - The scope of the work of the Audit Department includes all areas of Marsh US Consumer. The Department will help the Company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance. The Audit Department is committed to protecting shareholder value by delivering accurate and reliable information and services to its internal and external clients.
- College Degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in internal auditing or public accounting with emphasis on financial audits and internal controls testing.
- Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
- Detail oriented to ensure accuracy.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and reach a conclusion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance.
