The Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), Reliability and Human Factors Engineering Division, has an immediate opening for an experienced Engineer with an industrial engineering background at the Warner Robins, Georgia, facility.
Duties of the position include:
- Participating in a dynamic team of skilled engineers in process analysis and process improvement, especially for aircraft maintenance.
- Project task determination, planning, and execution of tasks most of which have well established clear precedence and standard methodology.
- Responsible for leading, designing and performing detailed industrial engineering efforts.
- Independent research and investigation to set clear standards.
Position Requirements include: 1) An undergraduate degree in Engineering (Industrial preferred) from an accredited School or College of Engineering and 9 years related experience including 2 years program management, or a Masters degree in the same area and 6 years related experience including 2 years program management; or Ph.D. degree in the same area and 3 years related task order experience including 2 years program management experience. 2) Requires four years of supervisory experience. 3) Experience in industrial engineering processes related to maintenance/manufacturing operations, statistical analyses/specification development, equipment/workspace design/layout 4) Applicant is a U.S. Citizen 5) Successful candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance. 6) Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel and Access.
Desired qualifications include: 1) Previous work experience in with commercial or USAF aircraft maintenance and inspection. 2) Previous work experience with other USAF aircraft. maintenance or structural integrity programs. 3) USAF active duty experience. 4) Previous military experience (preferably in the USAF) |
