Job Description

This position can be located in Plano, TX or Alpharetta, GA.


I. Position Summary Compliance Specialist/Functional Manager:

The position reports to the Compliance Officer for Siemens Industry, Inc. to support and implement a number of Compliance initiatives.

II. Compliance Manager function includes:

Review documentation to support approvals for business partners, Limits of Authority projects, Gifts & Hospitality, and Sponsoring/Hospitality/Donations and Membership requests.

Manage Compliance intranet content and make suggestions for increased visibility of Compliance policies and processes across Corporation.

Create training materials relating to implementation of core policies and processes.

Support alignment of policy initiatives and processes across Sector;

Adapt communications for use within corporation and across Sector.

Support creation and implementation of Compliance Training and Communication Plan for Sector.

Review Conflicts of Interests scenarios and provide advice and counsel.

Support Supplier Code of Conduct requests to modify required provisions by interfacing with appropriate Legal and Procurement personnel.

Identify potential areas of compliance risk and make recommendations on corrective action plans for resolution;

Support Collective Action or Compliance Pact initiatives across Sector as needed.

III. Key Skill, Experience and Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree

Four or more years experience in business or process analysis, with a preference for the fields of Legal, Audit, Business Administration, Human Resources or Project Management.

Ability to work with confidential and sensitive material discreetly.

Microsoft Office Suite skills a must (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and Web development/maintenance.

Experience building and using databases.

Presentation skills - PowerPoint

Project management experience

Strong teaming skills and demonstrated ability to present and disseminate information in a concise and easily understandable way.

Strong influencing skills with effective implementation experience in a matrixed environment.

Ability to ‘push back’ in a diplomatic and productive fashion, building consensus and partnering with teams.

Strong attention to detail required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additionally, the selected candidate must have strong analytical, communication, management and organizational skills.
