Job Description Summary Responsible for office furniture moves, fulfilling internal IBM relocation requests and basic building maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Load office equipment and furniture onto trucks or other equipment, transport it to a new location, and then unload it. •May move as few as one or two items or the contents of an entire office. •Must have the knowledge and ability to transport items without damage. •May disassemble furniture, such as a large desk, so it fits through doorways or into elevators. •May place furniture in special containers designed to protect it or build crates for irregularly shaped items. •Movers also maintain inventories of the items they transport. •Performs basic maintenance tasks on building/facility systems and furniture. •Requires a good aptitude for maintenance related skills.
