Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train shipping, receiving, and inventory personnel to achieve corporate objectives.
• Assign shipping, receiving, and inventory duties as required.
• Supervise the inventory reporting, counting, and reconciliation process.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective inbound and outbound shipping processes.
• Develop and maintain carrier performance metrics.
• Develop and implement freight cost reduction strategies.
• Work with manufacturing to develop, implement, and maintain a coordinated scrap reduction effort.
• Work within established safety and quality standards.
• Follow and improve receiving, inventory, and shipping department processes.

Qualifications:

• Two or four year degree in production planning, inventory control, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Minimum of five years of inventory or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communications and leadership skills
• Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in team environment
• Background check and drug test results satisfactory to SEL

Preferred Qualifications:

• APICS Certified
