Position Description:

Provide engineering and programmatic support to the Missile Defense Agency’s BMDS Capability Assessment (BCA) Team. The BCA team includes members from several FFRDCs and provides non-advocate assessments of the BMDS to Missile Defense Agency leadership. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing and coordinating assessments of the BMDS, including BMDS performance in flight tests, ground tests, and digital simulations, and capabilities and limitations of elements of the BMDS. The selected individual will work with other BCA analysts to produce collaborative assessments of the BMDS.





Qualifications:

An advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent preferred. Bachelor's degree with eight years of applicable experience, is required. An understanding of the Missile Defense Agency and Ballistic Missile Defense System is desired. Proficiency in Matlab programming is required and experience with MySQL databases is desired. The candidate needs to possess creative problem solving skills and technical team leadership capabilities. Selected candidate should have proven capability of working with a team environment with demonstrated abilities to build effective relationships with customers. Good interpersonal communication and briefing skills along with ability to work independently are required, as well as the ability to interface effectively with government, Aerospace, FFRDC, contractor, and SETA personnel. Travel required. Secret clearance is highly desired. Customer location is in Huntsville, Alabama.
