Position Available: Assistant Store Manager, Beaver Creek Sports (Westin)

Reports to: Store Manager

Location: Beaver Creek, CO

Position Description: To assist in managing the sales, rentals, staff, and operational and merchandising functions of the store to attain maximum profitability, productivity, and a world-class guest experience. Assist with overseeing the entire store operation, and cultivate pride and professionalism in the workplace.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

· Generate sales, and demonstrate and maintain a professional standard of guest service

· Assist Store Manager in maintaining an enthusiastic and professional standard of guest service

· Provide training resources for employees in POS, product knowledge, guest service, and sales

· Role model and administer company policies and guidelines

· Assist Store Manager in communicating company values and goals to the employees

· Assist Store Manager in monitoring and controlling a daily payroll budget

· Maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards

· Manage inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals

· Enforce company cash handling and other Loss Prevention policies and procedures

· Recruit and assist in maintaining a quality core staff

· Remain current on new industry products and trends. Demonstrate knowledge of products

· Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques

· Maintain all company paperwork according to policies and standards

· Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Elements:

· Work and move in an active, team-oriented environment for extended periods

· Routinely lift merchandise, packages, and other items of at least 15 pounds

· Communicate fluently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English

· Occasionally assist at events and when otherwise needed at other company locations

Additional qualifications:

· Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems preferred; management experience preferred

· Must be versed in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Should have experience in the retail field; snowsports background a definite plus
