Job Description
Key Job Responsibilities:
Responsibility for technical offers (content) and influencing of new platform development in regards to service and maintenance aspects.
Ongoing optimization of Product families and updating of relevant documents from a point of view of maintenance.
Definition of technical and commercial requirements for products and systems of relevant vehicle platforms in cooperation with rolling Stock engineering.
Support of new vehicle platform efforts in regards of serviceability.
Multi year work experience in the area of Engineering, Manufacturing, Commissioning or Maintenance of LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles) or DMUs (Diesel Multiple Units) / EMUs (Electro Multiple Units).
Development and review of maintenance offers/ concepts and spare parts projects (organization, Interfaces, processes). Coordination of these concepts with BID project managers and the future project manager. Identifying and evaluation of risks. To develop the detailed parts list with quantities and all relevant information which will be the basis for the commercial calculation of the Bid Project manager.
Definition of concepts, implementing solutions and ongoing optimization of products in regards of market- and field data in cooperation with System Engineering, Center of Competences (CoC) and other Engineering departments.
Planning of given tasks in regards to complexity (cost) and time schedule.
To specify Systems and components in regards of maintainability in cooperation with Rolling Stock System Engineering.
Implementing of given tasks with highest quality according to the requirements.
Professional Knowledge Required:
Comprehensive knowledge in the area of Service or Maintenance of Light Rail Vehicles or Commuter Trains
Specific knowledge of railway technology
Experience in the area of LCC (Life Cycle Cost) / RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety)
Knowledge of Industries and Customers (Rail)
Experience in the area of Engineering or Manufacturing of Rolling Stock Vehicles
Analyzes methodology
Structuring
Review methodology
Presenting skills
Processes, Regulations
Command of German (would be an advantage)
