Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Consolidated Operations businesses. The individual will develop an understanding of the business and assist in identifying future opportunities through financial analysis, reporting, special projects and budgeting. At times, he/she will be presenting to members of the Ops, corporate and executive management teams. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work with functional groups as a business partner to determine their financial needs. Responsible for the timely and competent analysis of budgets, forecasts, operating results, and business plans to determine achievement of stated business objectives. Performs customer, product, or market analysis as needed to support each functional area
• Consolidate, prepare and present monthly analysis and make recommendations to management
• Provides standard and ad hoc analyses and reporting as needed. Assist in the design of systems and processes that enhance the accuracy and timeliness of report packages
• Adhere to the timely completion of the monthly closing process including journal entries and reconciliations, focusing on continuous improvement
• Supervise one financial analyst, providing technical guidance and professional development, leading the team to success

Qualified individuals must be able to exercise judgment and possess a high level of initiative and independence. Also, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving abilities and have experience successfully managing direct reports. The successful candidate is likely to have the following competencies:

• BS in Finance/Accounting with a minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting / financial analysis
• A self starter with a sense of urgency to providing quality solutions and implementing them
• Possess excellent analytical skills including the ability to manage and organize data, draw valid conclusions from data through analysis; ability to communicate methodology and conclusions to senior management
• Operates effectively in a matrix organization
• Supervisory experience required
• Experience with acquisitions, integrations or major structural changes
• Expert proficiency in Excel including macros, pivot tables, lookups and other advanced functions
• Experienced using an enterprise wide business system - SAP
