Job Description
•Achieve sustained optimization of cost structures and assist in continuous improvement of competitiveness
- Lead the Materials Management Team consisting of with a total staff of about 25 people
- Design, plan, execute, control, and monitor all activities in Materials Management with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, synchronizing supply needs with demands of operations, developing common standards, procedures and processes, ensuring best practice is shared and measuring performance of warehouses
•best possible availability of parts in the production with consideration of economical and quality targets
•ensuring proper availability of empty containers at suppliers or definition of approved deviation for packaging
Role Responsibilities
•Ensure that material/products are available in the proper place, at the proper time, in the proper quantities, at the necessary quality, and at the best landed cost in alignment with Supply Management strategies, policies and procedures
•Creation and launching of KPI-s and definition of countermeasures before deviation from targets
•Position will be a leadership role with responsibility for planning the daily work assignments for team members operating the delivery functions inside of the plant and at a nearby logistics center.
•Position will also do individual development and coaching to ensure optimal performance from each team member.
Job Requirements
5+ of related logistics experience . •Work / Project experiences with major in Materials Management, Logistics or Supply Chain, Container Management experience in continuous improvement or Six Sigma before and after launching of new products and processes •Management Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written •Experience in SAP •Experience in successful English negotiation with Logistics Partner •Annual pricing review with Logistics Partner
Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role
•Experience and knowledge in group standards for material handling, container management, making specifications for logistics providers, experience in negotiation with logistics providers, attributes, inventory records, delivery information
•Process expertise logistics planning, continuous improvement and group workshops
Work flexibility (travel requirements, work schedule, etc.) Group meetings: container management, negotiation of tenders with purchasing and providers Will travel near 65-70% during 1st year to Europe.
