Quality Engineer in our Turners
Falls, Massachusetts facility.

JUDD WIRE INC.

QUALITY ENGINEER

The Quality Engineer position will be responsible for:

- Supplier Quality resolving supplier quality
problems using documented problem solving
methodologies; conducting vendor
surveys/audits/site visits, conducting problem solving
and preventive planning with vendors

- Manufacturing Support analyzing in process
rejections and leading efforts to identify and implement
improvement projects to reduce PPM levels;
leading/coordinating efforts within manufacturing
leadership teams when customer returns require formal
corrective action reporting and providing ongoing
daily QA support to manufacturing floor.

Requirements Bachelors Degree in engineering,
technical or related discipline. Quality Engineer
Certification preferred. Five or more years of manufacturing
or quality experience with a working knowledge
of statistical methods, problem solving, international
quality standards and continuous improvement
tools. Experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing,
Quality Management System Standards (i.e., AS
9100, TL 9000, ISO 9001, IS/TS 16949, QS 9002)
Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part
Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Modes and
Effects Analysis (FMEA) Preferred. Strong communication
skills as well as proficiency in the Microsoft
suite of products is required.
