JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Mark et Intelligence Manager (MIM) is responsible for driving business results by developing, implementing and improving broad-based business knowledge and by building capabilities, which enable a high level of functional expertise in the achievement of corporate objectives and volume and profit targets for the businesses.

This position is responsible for driving business results through use of Syndicated Data (including household Panel data). Responsibilities include:

  • Leading or assisting in the management of syndicated consumption, panel and POS data and vendor relationships in order to provide an objective, holistic Mark et Intelligence perspective to the businesses and management.
  • Owning data quality of key data sources and HH Panel suppliers. That is managing, developing, implementing and tracking data quality processes, which ensure consistent and timely reporting.
  • Assist with the integration of disparate data sources to assist in the managing and planning of the business.
  • Proactively identifying ways for data to address key business issues and assisting in the definition of reporting of key corporate priorities.
  • Present findings to senior team to enable strategic discussion of go-to-market initiatives.

The MIM operates with minimal assistance from his/her manager while continuing to build business and strong cross-functional relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Key Job Responsibilities – Consumer and Customer Focus

Leverage Mark et Intelligence Resources to Drive Business Results

    • Provide Panel and other Syndicated Data Best Practices and tools to facilitate the effective utilization, translation, and integration of consumer and marketplace knowledge to drive strategies and tactics for corporate, category and brand portfolios.
    • Ensure development of effective and efficient costs from Panel and other Syndicated Data Best Practice Partners’ and assist in the management of spending to achieve business results.
    • Take responsibility for project management of select key strategic Best Practice initiatives
    • Responsible for day-to-day management of corporate toplines, reports and scorecards as well as key strategic data initiatives (e.g., Investor Relations, etc.)
    • Assist in the management of Syndicated Business Partners’ resources and the setting of priorities to meet the needs of the businesses.
    • Assist in the management of the syndicated data budgets and spending to achieve business results and meet corporate targets.
    • May participate in negotiation of and the monitoring of compliance of syndicated data contracts and agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor Degree with focus on Business, Mark eting, or Mark eting Research
    • Minimum 3 years experience in market research with consumer panel data experience
    • Ability to build and leverage data and reporting tools to drive
      actionable focus
    • Ability to read the data and apply business reason
    • High proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with solid business acumen
    • Strong cross-functional working skills (Sales, Mark eting, Sr.
      Management)
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages concurrently
