ISS has successfully assisted over 20,000 qualified teachers and administrators in their search for opportunities in over 300 American and international schools around the world. The ISS Educational Staffing Programs the overseas school community year-round services for the recruitment of teaching and administrative staff.
Educators must first apply to establish a professional file with ISS in order to seek an international position through our services. Establishment of a professional file allows ISS to present professional papers to prospective international school employers for review. Most schools then seek to arrange interviews at one of our four annual International Recruitment Centers (see IRC information below).

To assure both candidates and recruiters a superior service, ISS candidates must have a bachelor's degree and meet one of the two following criteria:
- Certification in subject area (with at least one semester of student teaching)
- Two years successful teaching experience in a public or private school.
- ***A Master's degree and certification are highly recommended for counselors looking to work overseas.
International Recruitment Conferences – Jan/Feb 2010
International Schools Services will be holding one of their recruitment conferences in Boston and Philadelphia in February, 2010. Last year we had over 160 schools come in from all around the world to interview and recruit teachers or administrators for their schools. To attend any of these conferences, you must become a candidate with International Schools Services.
