Position Description


Lead the next stage in the development of a world-class, closed-loop demand generation machine. Direct the team that defines, executes, analyzes and grows CyberSource marketing programs, including direct and e-mail marketing, online and search marketing, web and social media, marcom, advertising, and events. Optimize the marketing & sales pipeline through every conversion step, from raw contacts to closed sales. Apply your best-practice experience, creative energy and commitment to measurable results.

This is an opportunity to push the frontier on modern B2B marketing. This is a highly visible leadership position reporting to the Vice President, Marketing in our Mountain View, California headquarters.

Responsibilities

· Manage the roadmap and quarterly budget for enterprise marketing programs. Guide the demand generation team in developing targeted marketing programs – in collaboration with Product Management, Solutions Marketing, and Sales teams.

· Lead a growing program of campaigns, including whitepapers, webinars, seminars, vertical and partner programs. Evolve timed campaigns into ongoing nurturing programs through our marketing automation platform.

· Direct the development of the next generation of our web and social marketing, collateral and other marketing communications. Coordinate with our UK-based team to project a consistent, strong brand image worldwide.

· Develop winning formulas for search marketing, including pay-per-click search engine advertising and ongoing natural search optimization.

· Oversee event management including trade shows and customer/partner conferences.

· Manage our database, campaigns and analytics through our Siebel CRM system (premise), Eloqua marketing automation platform and in-house analytic tools.

· Work closed-loop pipeline forecast and tactics with the Solutions Marketing and Sales teams for continuous improvement at each stage of conversion. Evolve the marketing dashboard of key performance metrics and return on investment.

· Organize project management across the team. As needed, grow our internal team and our stable of marketing service agencies. Negotiate vendor relationships.

Desired Skills & Profile

· Approx 10 years relevant experience in business-to-business demand generation, direct marketing, marketing communications and/or marketing operations, with an emphasis on technology, business services, or financial services. Specific industry experience in eCommerce and/or Payment desirable but not required.

· Online marketing expert with a finger on the pulse of current trends, media and tools. Has a clear picture of success, and a track record of high impact in fast growth businesses.

· Takes a “six sigma” approach to the marketing machine: architecting repeatable best practices, benchmarks and continuous improvement. Organized project manager with attention to detail. Works to stay on the cutting edge of the craft.

· Judgement to balance art and science – evolve programs based on performance data, ground level feedback from Sales and a heads-up understanding of the business. The ideal candidate spans creative concepting, crisp tactical execution and rigorous analytics.

· Strong communication and presentation skills.

· Brings a “game day” focus and commitment to their work, and inspires that in the team. Fun spirited, with a sense of humor in the face of challenges.
