A. Primary Function:

Under minimal supervision of Quality Control Supervisor, this individual will perform specified inspections and witnessing of processes related to both implantable and external medical devices. Person must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to take direction and work from written instructions. Person must inspect production assemblies on small and delicate parts that are held to extremely close tolerances. This position requires a desire to help others, and an ability to communicate quality concerns. Must have reasoning skills.

B. Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect incoming and outgoing parts and assemblies according to applicable documents. Be able to uphold a standard of high quality on products inspected. Inspect parts/assemblies with drawings, assembly procedures and other related document using measurement tools and microscopes. Work with Production personnel to meet daily schedule.

C. Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Team participation is extremely important. Prior use with microscopes, measuring tools, blue print reading and visual aids is required. Confidence in applying inspection skills provided by training. Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity is required. Must be able to maintain focus while inspecting for an extended period.

D. Experience:

Previous experience as an inspector, using a microscope, is preferred. Clean room experience is preferred.
