Technical Account Manager, Washington DC Region

Job Description:

This position will be the central technical liaison into the US Federal government customers and prospects. The responsibilities will be to assist in identifying and clarifying initial opportunities and then ensuring the customers’ success through the relationship described below as ‘ArcSight Enterprise Specialist’ (Technical Account Manager).

Position Responsibilities:

The ArcSight Enterprise Specialist (Technical Account Manager) is responsible for moving Arcsight Customer Implementations forward. The AES owns the overall success and referencability of targeted ArcSight customers. The AES is fully accountable for client satisfaction and is measured through customers referencability, repeat business and revenue generation.

The ArcSight Enterprise Specialist is responsible for:

  • Owning the relationship between ArcSight and the customer from initial implementation through production and onwards.
  • Acting as the single point of contact for customers enabling them to quickly and easily gain access to all available ArcSight resources throughout their entire implementation lifecycle.
  • Regular communication between the customer and ArcSight to drive customer satisfaction
  • Proactively managing and delivering technical information via onsite presentations, phone calls or Webex Sessions.
  • Serving as the ArcSight “Subject Matter Expert” for customers in order to resolve technical issues and apply best practices.
  • Initial troubleshooting and prioritization of customers’ technical issues
  • Evaluating the state of an implementation to asses any upcoming technical needs and set up the required tasks to address project issues before they become urgent.
  • Interacting with ArcSight Engineering, Professional services and Technical Support resources to address the any technical needs of the project.
  • Supporting the regional sales teams in all related sales opportunities by relaying product knowledge and best practices to discussion and being responsible for tracking and ensuring the continuation of AES sales to current and future customers.

Required Experience:

  • Linux or UNIX
  • Windows
  • Networking
  • Security (Firewall, IDS, 3rd party system knowledge)
  • Project Mangement
  • Secruity Clearance Minimum (Secret) Desired (Top Secret)
  • Clean financial history due to unique clearances required at government financial/revenue organizations

Desired Experience:

  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • CISSP or equivilent
  • SIM product experience
  • Oracle DBMS

Minimum Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree (equivilent) or higher, preferred.

Location:

  • Washington DC or surrounding Metro region
