PURCHASING AGENT

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) is a Missouri State special purpose political subdivision that is responsible for the St. Louis area’s storm water and sewer collection and treatment. MSD ranks in the nation’s top wastewater utilities, and is major contributor to the health and environment of the St. Louis area.

This position reports to the Purchasing Manager and has significant responsibilities in the District’s procurement of goods, contractual and professional services for its facilities. In addition to strong purchasing skills, must have interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and employees and work effectively in a team environment. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible purchasing experience. Certification by a nationally recognized professional purchasing organization a plus. Excellent salary and benefits program, including a pension plan.
