Clinical Educator - Perioperative Services: St Francis Medical Center

Under the direction of the Clinical Director, this position is responsible for coordinating and supporting the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical education services for Perioperative Services. Develops in-service education programs and evaluates the effectiveness and outcomes of these programs. Oversees education related to new equipment, policies and procedures, and quality initiatives. Evaluates and prioritizes all educational requests in a timely manner. Participates in hospital initiatives and collaborates with management to identify learning opportunities.
Requirements include a demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles, excellent communication and training skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Bachelor's Degree Required with a Master's Degree preferred, minimum 5 years clinical experience in an acute care perioperative setting, two years recent educator experience preferred and bilingual (English and Spanish) capability preferred.
Valid CA RN license, BLS (through AHA), ACLS and AORN certification required.
