Medical Science Liaison (OH/PA): Actelion Pharmaceuticals US Inc.

This position is assigned to Cincinnati, Cleveland or Pittsburgh location

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Will cultivate collaborative relationships with current and future thought leaders in academic and clinical medicine.

· The Medical Science Liaisons will be the product experts and will develop and maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups and Professional Associations and interact with Managed Care Organizations on the regional level.

· Work with all field sales personnel to provide clinical expertise.

· Responsible for field activities associated with implementation of medical education programs.

· Development and execution of speaker programs and symposia.

· Respond to product inquiries in a detailed manner and will liaise with Medical Information department.

· Will facilitate company sponsored phase 3b/4 clinical research as needed.

· Will be the conduit from the field to headquarters on any clinical trial project proposals, and be responsible to ensure that Investigative Sponsored Studies are performed.

REQUIREMENTS

· PharmD/PhD/MD or other equivalent clinical graduate degree or experience commensurate with the MSL job roles and responsibilities.

· Minimum of 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or relevant clinical experience with a demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information.

· Must have a strong commercial understanding.

· Excellent communication skills

· Knowledgeable in clinical, commercial and regulatory issues affecting the pharmaceutical and managed care industries.

· Prior Medical Science Liaison experience and cardiovascular knowledge highly desirable.

· Experience in clinical trial design, logistics, and evaluation is extremely desirable.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as exceptional organization skills.

· Must be willing to travel
