This is a project management type item involving coordination with several teams. This is insuring the Windows 2003 Server OS is delivered error free; ensuring the server is added to the proper network/Big Ip/3DNS infrastructure; ensuring the consuming applications can communicate with the server; ensuring the server is added to the right tracking mechanisms (PACE, Asset Center). Implement the application build for the given application on the server (XDAS, PREDATOR, DB Legacy Calc, BWS, WSR). This is a task driven list of items that will differ with each platform. It would include, running the automated WISE build scripts, adding the server to the right Site scope monitoring, Cohesion configuration management, CAD deployment, and Phenomenon, or Appsight support tools. Ensuring all the built-in DBDC automation functions including the deploy process, directory sync process, and patching are setup and functional. Maintaining the automated WISE build scripts to ensure anything platform specific is updated, also ensuring anything being installed by the automated build script is current with the Windows 2003, IIS 6.0 platform level it's being install on. This would be things like windows drivers or odbc drivers making sure we install the latest for the platform. Coordinate server implementation into the environment. This is a project management type task. This would involve installing the latest application build supplied by release management specific to that server's given environment. It would also involve ensuring the server is tested by the appropriate QA or Dev team, that the logs are error free, and that they server is listed in all the appropriate tools. Investigate and track all issues with server delivery, application build, automation, or server/environment implementation in the appropriate tracking tool, pace or itg. Resolve issues or get the right SME, tech lead, developer involved to resolve the issue. Ensure all resolutions get sign off. Ensure all WISE automation scripts are updated to reflect issue resolution. Documentation: Augment or create documentation that includes updating system diagrams with new server names/locations. Augment or create server build checklists to further facilitate the server build process. Update operational or on call documents with new server names/locations. Update run books with appropriate systems checks stemming from issue investigation/resolution. Process: Follow all PWI PSS Systems policies for tracking work/progress.
