Giga-tronics is a leading engineering and design manufacturer of best-in-class RF and microwave signal generators, power amplifiers, power meters and USB power sensors and broadband switching matrices, for greater ease of use in many applications: ATE systems, aerospace and defense telecommunications and general component test.

We currently have an opening for a dynamic Sales and Business Development Manager to develop business for the custom and standard components designed and manufactured by the Microsource Division of Giga-tronics.

Home location of this position is flexible.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with prime contractors and focus business development on Military and Aerospace (Mil/Aero) customers.
  • Develop business through customer visits, seminars and various MarCom activities.Understand the manufacturing processes used in the fabrication of hybrid microcircuits in order to offer manufacturing services of the division.
  • Investigate OEM opportunities in the Test and Measurement industry.
  • Investigate, design and implement marketing, sales and business development programs, tools and educational materials, such as investigation and definition of new products, new applications and new market segments.
  • Evaluate and maintain lists of valuable technology and engineering groups, consortiums, societies, associations and publications that can be used for research, promotion or customer list generation.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Ability to understand how components may be modified in order to offer custom solutions.
  • Solid engineering background.
  • BSEE or equiv. training plus min. 5-8 years related experience.
  • Functional abilities in MS Office programs.
  • Knowledge of prime contractor programs.
  • Demonstrated working application knowledge, technical experience and conversational skills as related to microwave and RF, plus a background in YIG technology.
  • Ability to author technical articles
  • Large "rolodex" of potential customers
  • Ability to travel worldwide and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
