Job Information:
      Primary Function: To mitigate the Company's exposure by formulating, developing, and implementing aggressive claims collection techniques for accident claims, cargo claims, and Owner/ Operator claims and deductions.
      Description:
      Responsible for the investigation, collection of appropriate releases, liability determination, negotiation, financial analysis, and settlement of claims filed.
      Communicate with necessary internal/external parties (insurance company / plaintiff attorney / adjusters/witness / law enforcement) to bring about the successful settlement of a claim.
      Responsible for following corporate process and procedures (diary/reserving/coding/contact) in an effort to bring about the successful settlement of claims.
      Authorized to settle claims up to $25,000.00.
      May be responsible for additional duties as assigned by management.
      Skills:
      Excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional customer service skills; general knowledge and understanding of claims handling; established and effective settlement negotiation and problem solving skills; demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple task of competing priorities
      Education Required: High School Diploma or GED-Baccalaureate from Accredited University or College preferred
      Experience Required: Two years property damage and casualty claims experience; subrogation experience preferred
      Supervision Received: Normal
      Confidential Data: Claim data, safety and driver information, personnel, company financial data, customer information, fleet pricing
      Status: Non-Exempt
      Salary Grade: 17
