Responsibilities

§ Oversee data analysis and interpret results. Determine underlying story from multiple data sources and crystallize resulting implications for business.

§ Bring a new level of customer reporting, analysis and insights to the brand.

§ Communicate key findings to cross functional partners in a precise and succinct manner.

§ Manage ad hoc requests and development of analytical methodologies including test plans and key metric templates.

§ Train, mentor and manage a team of business analysts.

§ Management priority of all 3rd party database agency projects.

§ Manage analysis of customer response to marketing programs with focus on sales, incremental sales and ROI. Translate data into key findings and actionable recommendations for future strategy.

§ Prepare monthly and / or seasonal summaries of marketing programs and key customer information including customer attrition, migration and growth.

§ Create segmentation strategies for campaigns and product lists.

§ Partner with database management team to monitor customer database health.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on marketing, applied mathematics, business, or related field required. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of analytical experience in marketing /customer database analytics such as: analytic segmentation, direct marketing test design, response analysis, measurement strategy development, ROI analysis, modeling, web analysis, etc.
  • Must enjoy formulating hypotheses, gathering results, analyzing data, and making appropriate recommendations for change.
  • Keen interest in using multiple data sources and approaches to achieve analytic objectives.
  • Expert in using MS Excel, MS Access, and/or other database-driven software to perform complex analysis and reporting.
  • Competent writing SQL queries. Ability to create list extractions and aggregations. Experience working with large databases.
  • Experience using SAS, SPSS or other statistical analysis tool for analysis and modeling is also highly desirable.
  • Experience managing 3rd party relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to float between high level creative thinking and tactical analytical details.
  • Must be able to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with a retail marketing environment is a plus.
