A Registered Professional Nurse who assists the physician/cardiologist in all procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and provides nursing assessment, and care to patients pre and post procedure. Must be available for on call to meet the needs of the CCL and within the ORMC on call policy.

All shifts as needed (10 hour shifts)

High School graduate plus graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Three years of CCU or ED experience within the past five years required and successful completion of Healthworks 60-80 hour Cardiac Program preferred or at least two years cardiac catheterization experience. RNs with three years of CCU or ED experience within the past five years without previous CCL experience or the Healthworks course will be required to attend a Cardiac Program Training Course in its entirety and pass the exam with a grade of 80% during the probationary period of orientation. Nursing excellence and leadership qualities are required as demonstrated through team work, positive attitude, supervisory experience, certifications such as CCRN, voluntary participation on committees or process improvement initiatives etc.

Registered and currently licensed as a professional nurse by the State of New York or a temporary license by the State of New York with an expiration date; Coronary Care Certification recommended, BLS and ACLS certification required.
