To assist the Program Manager in representing the organization in assuring the teams follow product development best practices, and in some cases adhere to specific regulatory requirements, as they lead project teams through the product commercialization process (PCP). This includes assuring design control and thereby long term product supportability, as well as delivering the agreed upon business value.
Job Summary:
· Works with the Program Manager to implement and drive new product commercialization program timelines and budgets in coordination with other departments/teams. · Assists Program Manager with all aspects of product development from Concept, to Product Launch and completing with Project Closure. · Facilitates execution of project deliverables. · Works with Program Manager to coordinate, synchronize and manage overall project schedule for programs. · Assists Program Manager in planning resource requirements · Facilitates identification and mitigation of program risks. · Reviews team progress against requirements and plans; resolves deviations. · Assists Core Team Members in resolving extended team and functional issues.
Essential Functions:
· Identify appropriate resources needed and assist in development of schedule to ensure timely completion of project · Regularly track and communicate project status to all stakeholders · Facilitate necessary meetings associated with product development as designated by Program Manager · Assess, communicate and manage risk · Analyze lessons learned and provide feedback with respect completed projects to insure continuous improvement · Work with R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing Development, Manufacturing and Business Development to insure successful project completion and product launch · Solve problems and manage crises effectively and independently · Other duties as assigned
Skills Required:
· Understands analytical, operational, marketing or technical concepts. · Predominately works on tasks/duties that are considered relatively routine to diverse in nature, using developing technical and/or business knowledge. · Has a strong ability to adapt to change very quickly, due to the dynamic nature of the scope of projects covered by the Regional Marketing group. · Good prioritization capabilities, with an ability to see a task through to completion, despite the other project demands.
Nature and Scope:
· Work is performed under direction of Program Manager · Able to recommend modifications to the overall direction of project for desired results · Works on complex, multi-faceted problems where analysis may require in depth analysis · Solves problems in imaginative and practical manner · Able to make recommendations that impact project timeline, budget, strategic fit and viability to business. · Interacts and builds effective relationships with core and extended team members, functional managers, senior management, and customers. · Able to influence others or gain acceptance in sensitive situations · Develops and delivers original persuasive presentations to larger groups · Gathers feedback on process and practice improvements
Education:
Bachelor's degree (B. S. or B.A.), preferred in the Life Sciences, from four-year college or university · 1 or more years of combined product development and/or project management experience · PMP certification desirable

Has contact with all levels of company employees.
Working Conditions:
Works in an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sitat desk for a long period of time; frequently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
