We seek a Business Analyst to conduct detailed analysis, define business requirements, and act as a liaison between the business project sponsors and Information Technology development scrum teams, in a customer-centric environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Partner with assigned business areas to understand and prioritize information needs, and translate business requirements into system solutions
- Capture customer requirements through iterative structured interviews with subject matter experts
- Develop current / future state process flows and uses cases from customer interviews
- Collaborate with business areas to define business processes
- Responsible for documenting each requirements specification from customer interviews, process flows, and use cases
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of each requirements specification
- Responsible for understanding all aspects of each solution
- Trace requirements from scope through design, development, and testing
- Collaborate with Development to ensure accurate design and implementation of business/system requirements
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure comprehensive requirements based testing is achieved
- Collaborate with Scrum Master to ensure team objectives are met and an overall success
- Participate in solution design
- Provide teaching, coaching, and mentoring to IT staff and business partners
- Assist in the development of UTI processes
REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as Business Analyst
- Varied experience over different companies, projects, and / or applications
- Familiar with gathering use cases (user stories) through interviews, observations, and interpretation of policies and procedures
- Significant experience turning use cases into functional requirements
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to control, lead, and coordinate with multiple levels of staff and project management in both the business and technical areas while keeping discussions at the appropriate level of abstraction
- Ability to reconcile competing ideas or problems to a mutually beneficial conclusion
- Ability to collaborate in a non-confrontational manner
- Ability to build consensus using a consultative approach
- Strong logical, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Enjoy working at the detail level yet is able to maintain a big picture perspective
