Job Summary
RN, CNII - Coronary Care Unit
Requires graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing and one year of nursing experience. Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing.

Coronary Care Unit
The Coronary Care Unit (CCU) is a 13-bed critical care unit specializing in the management of patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. These include myocardial infarction, acute decompensated heart failure/cardiomyopathy, pre- and post-cardiac transplant, cardiogenic shock, unstable dysrhythmias and multisystem organ failure. CCU nurses are precepted to successfully manage intubated and nonintubated patients with multiple vasoactive drips, pulmonary artery catheters, intra-aortic balloon pumps, transcutaneous and transvenous pacemakers and continuous renal replacement therapy. The nursing staff in this unit are part of the hospitalwide code response team.
