Pipe Support Engineer Job Description:
Seeking a Pipe Support Engineer for Power Generation (fossil/geothermal) in our Boise or Hailey, ID office. This challenging position offers a competitive salary with exciting opportunities at a busy, employee-owned firm. Requires working in a team environment with minimal direction and developing or directing others in plant layout, pipe support design, 3D equipment models, pipe routing and other engineering for power generation facilities. Successful candidate will be responsible for pipe support design and analysis, selecting pipe support components; reviewing vendor submittals; supporting and coordinating with other engineering disciplines as needed; and providing supervision and mentoring to other engineers and designers. REQUIRED: knowledge of mechanical systems design, and power plant equipment; 5 years of facility and industrial system design and analysis; knowledge of ASME B31.1, B&PV and other code requirements; advanced knowledge in frame evaluation.
