Director, Consumer Marketing - Mobile

AT&T Interactive currently has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Director, Consumer Marketing – Mobile in our Glendale , CA or San Francisco , CA offices and reporting to the VP of Consumer Marketing. The Director, Consumer Marketing is a strategic and creative leader with day-to-day management responsibility for the activities of a growing marketing department. This position will be responsible for first-in-class development, execution, and delivery of marketing programs designed to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention. The focus of these activities with be a growing portfolio of mobile applications and mobile web sites including developed by AT&T Interactive and our partners. This position works in close collaboration with internal and external groups including fellow marketing teams, agency partners and product management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of integrated marketing plan, including online/offline advertising, promotions, social, digital, marketing communications, email, and events as appropriate.
  • Develop marketing plans based on marketing objectives and strategies
  • Create and communicate plans to internal teams and external agencies
  • Ensure consistent application of positioning and messaging strategy across all components of the marketing mix
  • Lead cross-functional teams that include representation from Marketing, Product, Sales, Corporate Communications, Market Research, etc
  • Track performance of specific initiatives and of overall marketing program
  • Share results and recommendations with team and senior leadership. Establish processes and best practices.
  • Develop and execute successful marketing programs to increase consumer awareness, acquisition, engagement and retention for AT&T interactive mobile products.
  • Hands on management of marketing projects.
  • Define target audiences and develop corresponding communication strategies
  • Build plans that leverage audience use of social media to further engage users.
  • Develop marketing plans that reflect market context, product roadmaps and consumer

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years of progressive marketing experience with 6-8 years of marketing acquisition and engagement programs experience. Direct experience in developing and executing strategic consumer marketing initiatives in the mobile space.
  • Track record for developing winning programs that deliver on business goals. Experience developing and implementing in the following areas: competitive go-to-market strategies, contests, promotions, community marketing, viral marketing, word of mouth marketing
  • Proven track record of influencing people and processes outside of immediate work group. Excellent communication skills, organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional project management and presentation skills. External agency and vendor budget and project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field from an accredited college / university required. MBA is strongly preferred.
