Subject Matter Expert


Job Description:

The Subject Matter Expert is responsible for the technical development of courseware as part of a Curriculum Design Team. The position is responsible for the technical accuracy of course materials including analysis, design, development and review. Duties include:
- Content expert for all courseware
- Participating in course development meetings
-Analyzing and forecasting course development needs based on regional and global products
-Developing courseware based on regional and global product content
-Working with task lists, existing course materials, Engineers, Vendors, Instructors, Course Developers, Technical Writers and Technicians
- Meeting course development milestones/deadlines within budget
- Interface with internal and external customers within Raytheon and industry
- Travel to support the development and validation of courses will be required.
- Evaluating and making recommendations to courseware development from a technicians perspective
- Validate and develop Hands-On exercises
- Interacting with training center managers, and instructor



Required Skills



- Minimum of 5 years experance in the automotive industry
- Experience as a dealership service technician
- Experience in developing WEB, IDL , and IBT based courseware
- An understanding of a typical service department environment
- An understanding of a typical training center environment
- Computer software skills (MS Office)
-Demonstrated product knowledge, product application(s) and staying current in the industry
-Highly motivated and task driven
-The ability to complete task with minimum supervision





Desired Skills
- Experience as a stand up instructor
- Technical writing experience
- ASE certifications in Automotive , Master ASE certification preferred




Required Education

Associates degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent experience
