Sony PlayStation®: Senior Linux Systems Administrator / Storage Expert

Responsibilities:
- Provides administration, analysis, design and functions for storage systems to address the needs and requirements of staff and users.
- Monitor storage systems performance.
- Serve as liaison to vendors for server systems for maintenance, problem resolution and upgrades of installed hardware and system applications.
- Make authorized changes to system software, which correct inconsistencies and malfunctions as necessary.
- Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
- Research, development and implementation of new software applications and hardware solutions.
- Provide team-leadership to junior members of staff.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.

- Experience with configuring and maintaining robotic tape backup library systems and Network Appliance NAS/SAN filers is required.
- Experience with Legato Networker tape backup software and Lotus Notes/Domino administration is desired, but not required.
- Experience in Linux and MacOS-X administration desired.
- Extensive experience with TCP/IP-based networking and communication is required.
- Ability to help provide leadership in a small team environment; this includes assisting in coverage when helpdesk staff are short on manpower or backing them up when they’re out of the office, and mentoring peers in both technical and leadership skill-sets.
