GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings, with the direction of the Director of Imaging, radiologist and/or physician. Assists radiologist with all invasive procedures as appropriate. Assists patients with basic patient care needs. Provides emergency care, notifying appropriate personnel and ensures that patient safety is not jeopardized.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Two Year Degree
- Minimum of 1 year in field
- Completion of an approved Radiology Program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current compliance with CRE requirements
- Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR)
