Clinical Pharmacist:
$39.58 start of payscale (new grad) with a minimum $5,000 sign-on bonus for a two-year committment; relocation assistance is also available (amount determined on a case-by-cse basis)
Shift differential of $4.50/hr for 2nd shift. There is no separate weekend differential.
Pharmacy operates 24/7
4 of the 5 days are dayshift, with one afternoon shift of 3 - 11:30. The dayshift start times may vary from 7:00am to 8:00am. [NOTE: Four 10-hour days are not a possibility]
Every 4th weekend is worked (Saturday and Sunday)
No on-call
Holiday rotation (2 out of 6 holidays worked/year)
60% clinical, 40% dispensing
Pyxis on each nursing unit
Our comprehensive pharmaceutical services include pharmacokinetic dosing, a renal dosing program, formulary management, participation in all cardiopulmonary and trauma codes and participation in multidisciplinary care rounds. We have the latest technology, online intranet pharmacy website and formulary, Iowa Drug Information System and palm operating systems for assisting with clinical duties. We also have a growing investigational drug service with active participation in several worldwide multi-centered clinical trials. We have recently implemented an anticoagulation clinic.
Candidates with only retail experience will NOT be considered. New grads with strong hospital clinicals OK.
