Senior Business Analyst (JG)

Job Description:

Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Web Analytics, the Senior Analyst will design, develop, and perform quantitative analytics to support Client Experience initiatives such as Online Search, Automated Client Engagement (ACE) and Web Lead Referrals (WLRs). The Senior Analyst will be a driven strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who will be responsible for analyzing and reporting relevant metrics designed to measure performance of online and Web related initiatives and generating monthly/quarterly dashboards, presentations and reports for top management

Responsibilities:

Lead the effort for measurement, tracking and reporting of Client Engagement initiatives such as Online Search, ACE and WLRs
Excellent command over MS Office Products, SAS (Base and Stat) and SQL Server
Serve as a SME for all data issues related to online, e-marketing, client and Web analytics, site experience and optimization
Assist in the design, execution, analysis, and improvement of client segmentation, and testing strategies for ACE, WLRs and Online Search
Perform exploratory data analyses and present findings to both technical and non technical audiences
Perform complex queries and list pulls for Online Search, ACE and WLR campaigns
Analyze and report campaign performance and effectiveness
Develop robust reporting procedures and audit them to ensure the accuracy of all programming logic used to generate relevant data and lists
Work with business and IT resources regarding database issues and technical questions
Produce quantitative reports/presentations for dissemination to all levels of the organization

Experience:
Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Statistics or Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Marketing or equivalent. MBA desired
2-5 year's experience of relevant reporting and analytics experience for campaigns that use rule based triggers and/or online search or Web metrics
Basic knowledge of applied statistical methodologies and processes including exploratory data analysis, test design and implementation, segmentation, regression modeling, decision modeling, factor analysis, etc.
Experience accessing, compiling and analyzing large volume data sets into concise and precise information utilizing SAS and SQL
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, SAS, SQL, and Business Objects programming
Demonstrated presentation skills and an outstanding ability to analyze, interpret and communicate findings to all levels of the organization
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple priorities to ensure timely completion of all assigned work
Proven creative problem solving skills and the willingness to engage in undirected exploratory analysis
Strong communication and negotiation skills are needed to interface with and influence a broad base of internal clients
Strong project management, analytical and research skills. Mentorship and coaching skills are strongly desired
2-5 years related experience performing complex analytics for a large financial services firm preferred
Strong communication, presentation and writing skills a plus
Creative problem solver
Minimal travel required
