Position Description: Personal Banker Department: Retail Banking Reports to: Retail Branch Manager Summary: Responsible for creating interest in, and commitment to open and use financial products and services with both individual and small business customers. Job Description: - Proactively source, acquire, and expand customer relationships by maximizing sales opportunities. - Keep abreast of customer account activity to create effective customer retention strategies and “win back” strategies when necessary. - Develop and sustain an in-depth knowledge of bank products and services. - Probe within customer base for needs and opportunities to cross-sell other products and services. - Accurately onboard accounts on the Metavante system. Qualifications/Experience: - Retails sales experience, customer service orientation, strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent verbal & written communication skills in English, financial/business acumen, and basic PS skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Job Requirements: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum one-year of sales experience in an organization with defined sales goals and accountability; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Proven effective customer service skills. - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram from, Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. - Life, health and series 6 and 63 licenses preferred. - Demonstrate good communications (verbal and written) skills. Basic Competencies: - Consistently demonstrate East West Bank's customer service standards - Ability to acquire, deepen, and retain customer relationships - Know the features, benefits and applications of core Retail products (checking, savings, money market, CD's, OLB, credit card, debit card) - Basic knowledge of commercial lending and service products - Profile customer's needs, create interest, and cross-sell all Retail products/services, including, but not limited to, HELOC, mortgage, investments. - Proficiently applies technical & functional expertise: o Bank's front-end branch systems o Customer/account maintenance & special services o Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulations, such as fraud prevention, privacy policies, anti-money laundering (AML)/ Know Your Customer (KYC)/OFAC o Robbery, kidnap & extortion procedures - Take responsibility for achieving objectives, and is accountable for his/her results, actions, and decisions. - Follow English instructions, both verbal & written, without supervision Apply Only at : East West Bank
