System Operator Midwest Energy, Inc., a utility company located in Hays, Kansas is seeking an individual to work in a 24-hour control center operation responsible for monitoring the electric and natural gas transmission and distribution system, scheduling of electric energy, coordinating switching operations with field personnel, and directing the safe and efficient operation of the electric transmission network. This position will also assist customers with electric and natural gas service. Shift work is required. Minimum Qualifications: An associate degree with additional training in electric power systems is preferred. Applicant must have strong analytical and computer skills, including Excel, Word and database applications. Individual should have considerable skill in effectively dealing with a variety of people under difficult circumstances. Midwest Energy is willing to train the right candidate.
