Position Summary: Provide appropriate and effective leadership for the revenue cycle areas designated under the Revenue Management Division for YKHC. These areas include Admissions (Registration & Patient Resources), Patient Financial Services, Health Information Services (Coding & Data/Charge Entry, Medical Records, Coding QA), Pharmacy Business Management, and Dental Business Management. Position is responsible for the revenue capture process of accounts through updated charge masters and charge forms utilized in all YKHC patient care facilities. This process also involves verification that the reimbursement levels are in accordance with recognized standards for all billable aspects of YKHC. Maintains established formalized monitoring and measurement systems to assure that the revenue cycle process for the Hospital and other service locations are operating effectively and which would identify potential opportunities or problems, as they occur to achieve third-party collection goals set by Administration.


Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in health care or business administration. Master's strongly preferred.

Minimum Experience: Ten years experience in a Healthcare Revenue Cycle setting, minimum 5 years in a management or leadership role in a health care setting.

License, Certification, Registration: No additional licenses or certifications required.

Equipment/Tools: Computers, 10-key by touch,

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Third-party reimbursement, Medicaid and Medicare regulations. Patient finance systems software. Must be fluent with information systems - Microsoft Office Word, Excel programs. Ability to read, analyze, & interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write, read, analyze, & interpret finance-related graphs, business reports & regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all aspects of the revenue cycle, including Admissions, Patient Financial Services, Health Information Services (Medical Records & Coding & Data/Charge Entry), Dental Business Office, Pharmacy Business Office and revenue related functions in other departments. Revenue Management oversees these departments with 100+ staff, in all. Support departments across the healthcare system by providing required revenue cycle information for patient care, accelerated improvement, financial reviews, and the revenue capture process.
