
Responsibilities/Description: Position Objective: Develop, coordinate and manage preventive action measures to predict process variation and optimize product quality output through fixed processes and control plans. Instill a proactive approach to process planning and surveillance within the North American Operations that will improve first pass yield and cost avoidance (Scrap, Rework, and Warranty). Develop, implement, document and track continuous improvement/cost reduction programs.
Qualifications: Required Legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer. A minimum of a Bachelors degree in an Engineering Science or Quality Related field A minimum of 5+ years of experience in related field. Previous management experience SPC/Microsoft software Value Stream Mapping Project Planning & Management
Preferred Certified ASQ 6-Sigma Blackbelt Experience in metal processing - machining, heat treat, and fabrication.
Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications: Provides technical support in the movement of product and process between D-R Manufacturing Operations. Provides leadership and direction for Product Quality Engineers to contribute technical guidance to cost centers to ensure the control of product quality. Promotes the application and training of quality tools to analyze and improve processes to permanently reduce cycle time and cost.
