CONTROLS ENGINEER
Job Description : Our client, an internationally recognized manufacturer located about an hour from Nashville, TN, has immediate opportunities for two electrical controls engineers. The positions are available as the result of a significant increase in business, and the company offers a top benefit program as well as relocation assistance. Responsibilities will include:
- Provide electrical technical support and services for existing manufacturing processes.
- Develop cost estimates, manpower requirements, scheduling and reporting systems for capital and expense projects in the areas of manufacturing processing as well as power distribution.
- Manage projects. ensuring timely completion, appropriate reporting for upper management and compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Apply engineering related skills to programming, equipment installation and start-ups, as well as maintenance technical support.
- Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of technological developments in instrumentation and controls.
Job Qualifications :
- A BSEE from an ABET accredited university -- BSEE only is acceptable, no technology degrees.
- Minimum three years as a controls engineer or electrical project engineer in a manufacturing environment -- either with batch or continuous process experience.
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley plc's, RSLogix, HMI's, DeviceNet, Ethernet, Devicenet, Controlnet, Variable Frequency Drives, and Multiple Processor Networks.
- Knowledge of NEC Codes.
- Thorough understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience in supervision of General Contractors.
- Ability to work within the United States without sponsorship.
