FINANCIAL ANALYST
CHAPEL HILL, NC

POSITION OBJECTIVES:
To administer the company's budgeting and internal financial
reporting processes, to manage special projects as requested, and to
respond to miscellaneous needs for ad hoc financial analyses.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively manage the internal financial reporting
process. Ensure that reporting is delivered accurately and timely, and
that the reporting continually evolves to meet the organization's
changing needs.
- Continually strive to improve financial
reporting to improve its relevance (i.e. - timeliness), reliability
(i.e. - accuracy), and completeness.
- Provide value-added commentary and analysis to complement the financial reports.
- Develop
the Company's financial reporting processes with an enterprise-level
view. Control all financial numbers reported within the Company to
ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Manage the Company's budget and financial forecasting/modeling processes.
- Develop ad hoc financial reporting as requested.
- Serve
as the liaison between the Accounting department and some of the
company's business units, including the Trust Company, Settlement
Services Division, etc.
- Participate and/or manage special projects as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four year degree in Business or Accounting.
- At least four years' experience in a similar role, preferably with a mid-sized company.
- Technical accounting experience and ability.
- Experience
with mid-range enterprise financial software, and excellent command of
Microsoft Office software. Lawson Software experience preferred.
- Sound knowledge of accounting practice and theory.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to overcome obstacles to accomplish objectives.
- Energetic, positive attitude.
- Ability and willingness to handle increasing levels of responsibility.
