Sr. Database Security Analyst

Planned Systems International, a Government Contractor, has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Sr. Database Security Analyst to support one of our Government customers in Aurora, CO.

Essental Job Functions & Responsibilities

PSI is seeking a strong candidate with the required knowledge, skills and current experience in a security environment to assist current staff with policies, procedures and management controls for database security in support of the EOSS II contract.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor databases to ensure compliance with DOD security requirements.
  • Evaluate and report on scan results.
  • Able to write mitigation action plans in response to vulnerabilities found during scans.
  • Participate in risk reviews of software before implementation on networking systems.
  • Prepare project plan.
  • Track and report status of assigned work.
  • Track and resolve open project issues.
  • Develop audit reports from database logs,
  • Schedule security updates with application development areas.

May also be required to support various server projects, including server migration and application migration from Windows to UNIX systems.

Required Qualifications

BS degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant security database administrator experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidate must be familiar with AppDetective, DIACAP, Retina, DISA database (STIG, Security Checklist, SRRs). Experience with Oracle in Windows environment; MS-SQL; and DOD IA. CISSP Certification required within 6 months of employmen.

In addition, U.S. citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to computer systems or classified information and obtain the required Government-granted access or security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with disaster recovery operations.
  • Experience with and knowledge of government regulations: STIG, TSAAP, and DITSCAP regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of information security
