Marine Electronics Field Engineer
Required Skills:
At least two years experience in maintaining and repairing radar systems or radio/microwave tower experience.
A working knowledge of electronics, tools and test equipment.
Basic computer skills.
Ability and willingness to climb communications towers > 100ft.
Moves and/or lifts weights such as test equipment, ladders, tools and cable reels weighing up to 60 pounds using proper lifting techniques or material moving equipment
Willing to take all inoculations/prophylaxis that are required by the military or recommended by CDC, to include the anthrax and small pox vaccines.
Willingness to travel over 60% of time, to include some travel to remote international locations.
Willing to work flexible work hours to include short notice overtime.
Character and background that will support the obtainment "Secret" security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience with AN/SPS-73 Radar System
Active Secret security clearance or higher, or ability to reactivate one from within the last 24 months.
Technical writing experience and skills to maintain documentation and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
Experience in the training of customers and users in the operation and maintenance of systems.
Personal Computer knowledge with extensive experience in word processing and spreadsheet creation.
Wire wrap and soldering skills a plus.
Installation planning and implementation
Full knowledge of industry safety practices.
