Responsibilities: Bench Jeweler's at Value spend a portion of every day completing tasks that are specifically related to the Jewelry aspect of our business: Cleaning and Repairing, Merchandising & General Customer Development. · Provide initial customer service as it relates to jewelry repair, cleaning, service and questions – be available to explain the value and benefits of jewelry as needed.. · Clean & Repair Jewelry as needed. Changes watch batteries, size rings and repairs chains, necklaces, and bracelets, provide rhodium and gold plating. Advices management on time and cost related to repairs. · Help with Identification of precious Metals and Stones, especially Gold, Silver, & Diamonds. · Sets stones and re-tip mountings to secure precious stones and diamonds. · Maintains a clean & safe work area that includes special Jewelry Repair & Cleaning Equipment. · Work with store management to provide guidance to increase profitability as it relates to growing a jewelry repair and cleaning business and properly merchandising jewelry for resale. · Establish, maintain and support positive rapport with all employees. · Ability to design and manufacture custom jewelry pieces as requested by management and customers. · Achieve daily/weekly/monthly performance goals as it relates to company audits regarding shrinkage and corporate Clean & Green Standards.
· Proven customer services skills that include a genuine willingness to help. · Prior experience working as a jeweler providing skilled services as it relates to repair, cleaning, designing, manufacturing, watch repair and other aspects of the trade required.
