Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Producing studies by working closely with SMEs
- Working with hospital and physician claims
- Providing leadership in business projects.
- Providing advice and consulting on statistical methodologies used in building models to detect fraud
- Handling large claims databases and a wide range of claims data
- Building models and rules to identify fraudulent medical claims billing patterns using SAS
- Working with the Sr. Programming Analysts to prototype new analytic methods
- Aiding the awareness of developments in statistical techniques relevant to the detection of fraud andabuse in the healthcare insurance industry
- Assisting with training and mentoring other staff membersBring your talent to an industry leader with the information, technology, and consulting expertise to helptransform health and human services.

PhD in either of the following: Mathematics, Statistics, Technical field (engineering, health services research, economics)

3+ years Unix SAS programming experience

Leadership ability to develop new tools and applications to use for detection offraudulent activity

A background using SAS/BASE, SAS/STAT, SAS/Graph and SAS Macro language

Substantial experience pulling large data files from claims databases and manipulating data using SAS
-
5 + years healthcare industry exposure
-
50% travel

An ability to work independently in solving business problems

Experience working in a fast-paced work environment

Proficiency in MS Office applications
