Field Service Engineer II: Health Tronics Inc.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs maintenance on various medical equipment. Acquires necessary training either in classroom setting or on the job to perform duties under some supervision. Work factors require above average judgment decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs service on products which employee is trained with some supervision.
Establishes and maintains proper business relations with customers and peers.
Closes Orders in Service Pro in a timely manner.
Completes administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner.
Performs preventive maintenance, and equipment modifications on equipment with regard to a schedule.
Complies with all company issued policies and procedures.
Obtains product knowledge through classroom or OJT as requested by supervisor.
Interfaces with co-workers and other departments on issues that concern or affect them.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum 1 years of experience with related electronics background with at least 1 year of experience on high technology equipment.
Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience, preferred.
Completion of assigned training program.
Valid Driver’s License.
Exceptional Verbal communication skills.
Proven Customer Service Skills.
Organizational skills.
Ability to work independently
Ability to understand and convey ideas to others via telephone, written, and face-to-face encounters.

Language skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact professionally and courteously with management and other personnel. Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone, e-mail and in person with customers, co-workers and supervisors.

Mathematical skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning and judgment ability: Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Requires ability to handle irate customers, good judgment on tough decisions, and ability to resolve complex situations

Physical demands: Maintains ability to bend, climb and lift loads in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
Considerable sitting, driving and lifting. May be required to push, carry and pack equipment for all procedures according to manufacturer’s guidelines.

Work environment: Overnight travel required. Starting and ending times of workdays will vary according to scheduling repair needs. Exposure to weather, temperature extremes and traffic and road conditions may be encountered while driving from site to site.
