We seek a Solutions Consultant for our Credit Union Group, working anywhere in the United States. This is a travel position -- you'll work out of your home or can use one of our offices in 11 states as a base.
Our Solutions Consultants perform pre-sales activities, such as on-site system demonstrations, webinars and work sessions for prospective credit union customers, with emphasis on teller, deposits, loans, back office, general ledger and ancillary solutions such as internet banking and loan origination. Additional responsibilities include ROI analysis, Discoveries, and post-sale “refresher” demonstrations.
In this position, you will
- assist credit unions in picking the right Open Solutions offerings that best meet their needs
- attend and assist marketing at trade shows and conferences, as required
- maintain an ongoing knowledge of our core product, “The Complete Credit Union Solution,” along with enhancements that will be added to the software
- maintain communication with prospective and existing credit unions to answer questions about “The Complete Credit Union Solution” either through an RFP (request for proposal), site visits and/or conference calls
- maintain current hardware and software levels for the demonstration equipment
- perform other activities as assigned by the VP of the group
- establish and maintain a good working rapport with all Open Solutions staff
- maintain good communications across all lines within Open Solutions businesses and subsidiaries
- respond to or move along and get quickly resolved new and/or existing client queries, utilizing all resources within Open Solutions
- provide feedback to Open Solutions Credit Union Group management on any strategic opportunities or issues affecting product enhancements and developments.
Required skills
To qualify for this position, you must have:
- the ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time
- superior interpersonal and communications skills
- strong presentation and writing skills, including the ability to develop, assist and support strategic business planning and in the request-for-proposal process
- the ability to identify positive and negative opportunities and to communicate them to the appropriate sales/account manager
- a self-starting approach to sales support, to be an independent performer but also a valued and respected team player
- the ability to work remotely
- a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience -- this experience should include at least five years of credit union experience or financial industry experience and at least two years of successful consulting experience.
