Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer: Pacific Motor Service

Pacific Motor Service, a division of Tallyhoe Automotive Inc. is located in beautiful downtown Monterey , CA. Pacific Motor Service has been locally owned and operated since 1947, and is the premium service and repair facility in Monterey County offering a complete line of services for cars, trucks and SUV's.

In our continuing effort to provide our customers with the most complete and professional service in the area, we have developed a need for an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer.

Major Responsibilities:

Ø Greet and interact with customers by phone or in person. Schedule and coordinate service and repairs. Provide customer pickup and shuttle service as needed.

Ø Monitor and track progress of repair or service and maintain contact with customers providing updates and estimated completion times.

Ø Up-sell required/recommended service and repair with a focus on sales, profitability and customer wants and needs, utilizing excellent customer service.

Ø Estimate required/recommended service and repair ensuring accuracy and profitability with a focus on quality, thoroughness and honesty.

Ø Answer and facilitate customer questions and concerns, using expert technical knowledge and professional customer service skills.

Ø Strictly adhere to company policies and Bureau of Automotive Repair and State of California laws. Also required to adhere to Environmental Protection Agency laws and practices.

Ø Remains flexible, anticipates change and creates positive outcomes.

Ø Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Ø 2+ Years of Automotive Customer Service Experience

Ø Knowledge of Automotive Systems and Parts

Ø State of CA Drivers License w/ Clean record

Ø Strong Leadership and Customer Service skills

Ø Technical Background (Preferred)

Additional traits and abilities:

Ø PC based computer experience (i.e. Windows, AllData, Identifix)

Ø Ability to type

Ø Excellent Communication Skills

Ø Motivated and highly organized

Ø Drug and Alcohol Free

Ø Energetic with a pleasant demeanor
