I S PROJECT LEADER
Job Description:

The Project Leader for Epic Ambulatory supervises activities supporting the analysis, design, development and maintenance of the Epic Ambulatory module. Under moderate supervision, maintains the project plan, task list, issues list, and status reports. Works with the user community to develop processes, document workflows, work with analysts to determine system specifications, ensures communication and training and maintains close relationships with the user community. Analyzes problems in terms of systems requirements as well as policy/procedure and training requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintains project plan, task list, issues list and status reports
Facilitates process and workflow discussions
Upgrades professional knowledge
Applies project planning and project management methodologies
Understands overall IT business functions and functions of our customers
Tracks issues and problems
May assist with system testing
Facilitates development of policies and procedures
Facilitates and prepares education materials
Provides on-site user support during implementations.
Handles multiple assignments simultaneously
Learns and understands user department practices and procedures
Takes on-call for support at scheduled times

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in health care, computer science, business or related field (experience may be substituted for education)
Experience in ambulatory area. Clinical experience preferred but not required
Experience in Epic Amublatory and certification preferred but not required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
One to two years of application system implementation or support experience highly desirable
