  • Job Summary: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate care and interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) within scope of practice and in accordance with policies, protocols, guidelines, and application of treatment techniques. Performs services planned and delegated by the OT. Assists in preparing clinical notes and progress reports. Meets qualifications, licensure/certifications, and competencies as defined in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care. Applies theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands knowledge base and clinical skills. Utilizes knowledge in the delivery of quality whole person care. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications: Associate of Arts or Science Degree, Occupational Therapist Assistant required. One year of in-patient, out-patient, or home health experience preferred. New graduates may be considered based on affiliation-appropriate experience. National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) registration and California license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. California driver's license and liability insurance required. Able to lift up to 50lbs to the waist
